As FocusPoint’s Government Affairs Director, Elana Lynn works with a variety of construction unions and union contractors in support of legislation and policies that ensure a strong and sustainable construction industry. In the Legislature and across state agencies, Elana navigates and leads policy work related to worker rights and protections, construction and employment, transportation and energy, workforce development, and other key issues impacting labor and the broader economy. They work closely with elected officials and stakeholders across the political spectrum to effectively represent the interests of our clients.

Elana brings multiple years of experience as a lobbyist, representing a diverse policy portfolio that includes trade and labor unions, energy, criminal justice, K–12 education, health care, housing, project funding, and other progressive priorities. Prior to their work in government affairs, Elana worked in the legal field as a paralegal, gaining hands-on experience in business, employment, land use, immigration, civil, and contract law—experience that strengthens their ability to navigate the technical and statutory dimensions of policy development.

Outside of their work at the Capitol, Elana can often be found tending to their homestead, caring for a variety of animals, or participating in tabletop role-playing games. Their combination of legislative experience, legal insight, and grounded perspective makes Elana a dedicated and effective advocate for FocusPoint’s clients.
