Amanda Kraus serves as the Director of Policy and Communications. She works with all of FocusPoint’s clients to consult on strategy in the Oregon State Capitol. Her strong relationships in the capitol building and political instincts support FocusPoint’s Government Relations Director and all client interests.

Amanda previously worked in at the Bureau of Labor and Industry, as well as the Oregon Senate Majority Office in Communications. She has also worked as a Legislative Director for individual legislators in both the House and Senate Chambers.

Before getting her political feet under her, she worked for a local non-profit advocating for survivors of violence and set up key programs to encourage long-term recovery. She graduated from the Honors College at Oregon State University with majors in Liberal Studies and Spanish. She was born and raised in East Portland and loves calling Oregon home.
